Informed consent and signature
In a dispute, show
the information given and the agreement.
Before the tattoo, you explain the process, the risks and the aftercare to your client. They read and sign the consent on a phone or tablet. Signato stores the signature and a timestamp. You can download the document as a PDF.
A signed consent helps you defend yourself against an unjustified complaint. Together with photos and notes, you can show what you agreed and what information your client received.

Online booking is included in Consent and Professional. After booking, the client gets the questionnaire and a reminder by email before the appointment.
Can I use Signato when I guest at another studio?
Yes. You open it in a browser on a computer, tablet or phone. Even away from your own studio, you need an internet connection.
What if my client doesn’t fill in the questionnaire before the appointment?
They fill it in at the studio on a tablet or phone. You go through the answers together at the start of the consultation or before the tattoo.
Can I publish a photo of the tattoo in my portfolio?
Ask for consent to publish separately. State where and for what purpose you want to use the photo. Consent to the tattoo itself does not replace it.
What happens after the trial period?
If you want to continue, you activate a subscription. If you stop using Signato, export any documents you need first. You will find the details in the terms of service.
